In 2015, my family and I had just relocated back to Nigeria to start life afresh. It was a time of great blessing for us and we saw God’s hand of favour and kindness towards us in many ways. However, I wanted to settle down into a full-time job (I was doing contract/freelance work) but couldn’t find one.
This really bothered me as I was qualified and experienced in my field of work. This made me start thinking of relocating to another country so as to be able to pursue my career productively.
I was really hesitant about moving, I didn’t want to have to uproot my family again. And I knew at the time, relocation was not the answer to every problem. Also, I considered the monetary and time investment of the relocation process, I didn’t want to waste any of those if it wasn’t going to be successful.
I remember very distinctly – it was March 2nd, 2016 – with all these thoughts on my heart; I was going to see Pastor Israel. On my way there, in the BRT bus, I listened also to God’s word about his restoration and his heart of goodness towards us – humanity. How God is ever willing to bless us and bless us again. On getting to see Mummy – I told her all these issues, and she prayed with me. For Wisdom and also Favour.
Fast forward 2 years later – I am relocated with my family and settling into a career only God could have blessed me with.
During the course of the 2 years of applying and relocating there were issues, challenges and situations beyond me. But God’s wisdom and favour always, always was on hand to lead and steer my family and I.
